To know an inventory of mortals wounds in details, and to remember Mel Gibson’s Passion of Christ… I might as well get a bucket. I could throw up all day because I am one of the sinners.
This list is taken from the A True Letter of Jesus Christ, preserve in a silver box. It is found in the Holy Sepulchre of Our Saviour in Jerusalem.
Be it known these numbers of humanity’s redemption:
- 150 armed soldiers
- 23 soldiers trailed Jesus while being bound
- 83 executioner of justice
- 150 blows on Jesus’ head
- 108 blows on His stomach
- 80 kicks on His shoulders
- 24 times, Jesus was led, bound with cords by the hair
- 180 spits in the His face
- 6,666 times, Jesus was beaten on the body
- 110 times, He was beaten on the head
- At 12PM, Jesus was brutally pushed and lifted by the hair
- 23 times, pricked with thorns and pulled His beard
- 20 wounds on the head (most likely mortal wounds)
- 72 thorns made from marine rubbish
- 110 thorn pricks in His head
- 3 mortal wounds from thorn on the forehead
- 1,000 bodily wounds after Jesus was flogged and dressed as a mocked king
- 608 soldiers who led Him to the Calvary
- 3 soldiers watched Him
- 1,008 soldiers who mocked Him
- 28,430 drops of blood lost from Jesus
